What is that in my pool?

From all of the rain our pool is filled with a nice green/brown algae. It is lining the bottom of the pool and the sides. My pool boy is not here to take care of it.


I awoke this morning to thousands of tiny frog eggs floating in my pool. Our pool has now become a giant science experiment!

Hurricanes

We have dodged quite a few bullets so far this storm season. Fay was a tropical storm when she went by, Gustav missed us, Hannah give us strong wind and rain last night but nothing we could not handle. It has rained here for what seems like forever. It is very muggy and humid but it could be worse. Keep praying for us that no storm will hit us. We say a hurricane prayer every Sunday at church.

Hermie the 2nd

We have a resident crab that lives in our storage closet outside. He comes out at times and then goes right back into the closet. The kids think he is cute and love that fact that he has not run away.

Mary came through for me with the camera charger, thanks! I received the charger today, plugged it in and prayed it would work, it did!!! Pictures shall be taken again!

Sleepers

I am sitting in my classroom, gotta love the internet, and watching 8 out 0f 10 3-4 year olds sleep. It that is not heaven I dont know what is. So far everyone is having a great rainy day!

First day of school

Almost the First Day

Tomorrow is the first day of school. Walker had her outfit picked out before dinner! Quinn picked out his collared shirt (yep we do it here too Zack) before bed. They are ready to go! Now comes the fun part, making lunches for everyone including Jay! School starts at 8:15 but we will be up there around 730 just to make sure everything is ok. We all spent the weekend up there on and off. Jay pressure washed on Saturday and spread gravel on Monday. I worked in my classroom on Sunday and part of Monday. I got to go to St.Thomas on Saturday, fun. Hopefully I will get a charger soon and take some pictures of my classroom.
