Bring on the plaid

Walker is so excited! They have done away with her "only solid colors
and no patterns" dress code for school. She was having trouble getting
dressed in the am. Most of her clothes especially shirts have some
type of design on them.

Quinn continues to dress in his usual manner. We just make sure he
doesn't clash too bad.

Back to the Ballpark

Quinn had his first baseball game yesterday afternoon.  He is playing fall ball for the Lugnuts in the Costal league.  Jay is his coach.  The nice thing about fall ball is that they practice on Saturdays and have games on Sundays.  I would have taken some pictures but am not totally back in the ballpark swing of things. One thing I did not forget was my chair!

Walker has tryouts for the Flames, the 10u travel team, on Sunday.  If she does not make it she is still playing fall ball at Murphey Candler.  Her evaluations are this week.  Practices and games are soon to follow.

Both kids had a great first week at school.  I start with orientation at the end of this week and school starts at the end of August.  It is good to have a routine again

Both kids started school today, Walker at Dunwoody Elementary and Quinn at Vanderlyn.  Walker is in 4th and Quinn 2nd. They both had a great day!
Two happy kids ready to go!

The Dunwoody Elementary kids walking home from school.
The really almost an hour late Vanderlyn bus(lots of traffic and construction).

The Summer of Michelle

The Summer of Michelle has officially ended!  We picked up the kids from Mary and John Yesterday.  When we got home Walker said "Finally. We get to stay home"  The kids have  been gone the majority of the month of July. They were home between Boston and Florida for a day.  I enjoyed my summer!  It is back to the grind next week. The kids start school on Monday which means I will start heading into school to get ready myself.  I cannot believe it is time, the summer flew by.  It was a great one but a fast one.
