Late night

Walker started playing softball yesterday at 9 am. When she finished it was 11pm. Her team won 3 and lost 1. That record put them in the championship game which they lost 5-2. The girls played great and had a great season. Walker was great behind the plate and at the plate!

Quinn's team didn't do as hot. They won 1 and lost 2. According to Jay Quinn played awesome. He got on base every at bay and made some great plays in the field.

Today it was up and at-'em bright and early. The kids are off to Grammy and Gramps' for the week.

Game day

Time to play some ball! Quinn has a tournament in Carrollton and Walker has one in Alpharetta. Jay and I are going in opposite directions today. Walker starts at 8 and her last game is at 6 or 8, depending on how they do. Quinn first game is at 10 and last game is at 5 or 7:30, depending on how they do. Quinn has had his uniform hanging up ready to go all week.

Can every day be Father's Day?

Who knew Father's Day could be so productive?!  Jay and I cleaned the garage and got it ready for the reonvations.  I did all the laundry and cleaned some of the house.  Jay took my car to get it washed (that was from my birthday).  Jay also changed the furnace filter. Jay got a haircut with Quinn.  jay went shopping at Sports Authority and Best Buy with Quinn.  Jay had a beer with Quinn (rootbeer for QT).  Yoguli Mogli and golf with the family. It doesnt get any better than that!

Happy belated Father's Day to all of the Dad's out there. Especially my dad!

I finally got around to updating the blog with new websites and pictures.

Delayed Results

Sorry it took so long for me to get the results of Quinn's game up.  He lost on Monday and then again on Tuesday. Tuesday was a tough loss since they played another Murphey Candler team. They lost 13-14.  The Gold team went ahead in the bottom of the 5th.  Quinn played great! He has been playing 2nd base and doing a great job!  Tonight Gold plays for the championship and Quinn is going out with his friend Jared (who plays for gold) to watch.

Walker and I are both getting ready for the All Star Showdown this weekend. She is playing in it and I am in charge. It should be a busy weekend, what else is new!

Tournament Update

Quinn won his game 15-4.  I wish I could give you more details about the game but I was with Walker at her tournament.  Quinn plays tonight at 6pm.  Listen to the game here

Walker's Cobras lost in the championship game 8-1.  They battled back to get into the championship game but lost to a tough Ocee Black team. One of the Ocee pitcher's threw at over 40mph and had 3 pitches, a fast ball, rise ball, and a change up. I can proudly say that Walker was the only one to get a hit off of her.  The girls played well but were over matched.

It's Tournament time baby!

Both kids are in tournaments this weekend.  Walker is in The Sandy Springs Slam in Sandy Springs, 10 minutes away. Quinn is in Little League District 2 tournament in Smyrna, 30 minutes.  Here is the reacap so far...

Walker won her first game on Friday night 8-7.  They won in in the bottom of the 4th when one of her teammates stole home.  At the same time Quinn was having a team picture and team dinner for his tournament. 

On Saturday morning Walker had a 8:00 am game.  That means be at the field at 7:15.  They lost that game 9-1.  Her next game was at 10:40.  They also lost that game 5-4.  In the middle of the second game Jay and Quinn went off to his game.  Quinn is on Murphey Candler Blue.  Murphey Candler also has a gold and white.  Blue won in stunning fashion.  They came back to score 5 in the top of the 6th and hold the other team to win 12-11. 

Today Walker has a 10:40 game.  If they win that they are most likely in the playoffs at 1:00.  IF they win that then they are in the championship game at 2:30.  Quinn plays at 1:00.  Just like all the other days, we are all going in different directions.

Quinn also has a game Monday and Tuesday.  If they win their pool they going to the finals on Thursday.
