What summer brings

First of all sorry for the blurry picture.  I did not know my camera lens was this dirty! What does summer bring you wonder besides 7 Windhaven City Limits' kids? A trip to Target to purchase a pool.  The kids (mainly the boys) decided yesterday that they wanted to have a lemonade stand on the street to raise some money to buy a pool to put in someones front yard.  So the boys decided to make cookies, which they did, from scratch, and they were really good!  They also sold lemonade and kool aid.  They raised about $27 and with donations from other parents they were able to buy a pool and a slip-n-slide.  The funniest part was that the boys did not have very many cups so they kept mentioning to us that everyone who bought lemonade kept the cups!  The boys wanted the cups back.  Today they started up again. This time they were selling brownies donated by a neighbor.  Guess where the pool is?

Fire Loses! Fire Wins!

Red Fire lost to the green team, again, on Tuesday 12-13 in the bottom of the 6th inning. It was a tough loss for the girls!  The bounded back tonight to beat the light blue team, the one that they beat on Saturday, 15-9, to play in the championships on Thursday.  9 out of 10 days in a row at Murphey Candler!  It is the playoffs!

I forgot the most important part!  Uncle Matt is in Atlanta for the night so he got to spend some quality time at the ballpark!

Ryan Alexis Ballou

Ryan was born on May 11, 2010 at 5:15 P.M. at Providence Hospital in Portland,Oregon. She weighed 7.1 pounds and is 20.5 inches long

Fire Wins!

They finally beat the light blue team!  They had lost to them 2 times earlier but saved the best for last!  They are still in the playoffs and play on Wednesday, we think.  The girls had balloons and red hair paint to get them fired up!  By winning they got to paint the coaches heads red!

A win and an all star

Quinn won his playoff game 10-5. He plays in the semis on Monday. He
also made the all star team. They play on Saturday.

How Walker got a triple play

There was no one out and runners on first and second.  Walker was playing first  base and caught a pop fly. The runners had already started to run so she stepped on first and then ran to second to touch second before the other girl could get there.  Triple play!! She is very proud of it!

Triple Play

Last night in Walker's softball game there was a triple play!  One of the girls caught a pop fly, partially with her upper lip.  She then tagged the runner that was heading from second to third.  She then threw the ball to second and the girl on second through it to Walker who touched first, TRIPLE PLAY!  It was a great play, one that most of the coaches have never seen happen in softball.  The girls were playing the green team, one they had not beaten yet.  It was a great hard fought game but they lost 9-8.  Hopefully we will get to play them in the tournament and avenge the losses.

Quinn plays tonight and again on Saturday. Walker has two games on Saturday.  The season is winding to a close.

Dunwoody crier

Yesterday I am flipping through our local paper, the Dunwoody Crier,
and come across this picture. The Crier has a feature where you send
in a picture of you from somewhere holding the Crier. The boys took it
on their fishing trip to Panama in February.

What Quinn reads

Lucky girl

Walker has a knack for finding 4 leaf clovers. She has found at least
20 over the past few weeks. Here she is looking for some at quinn's
game today.

What Walker says

To her friend Ansley after asking us to go buy a sprinkler..."I told
you my parents are not very good at saying yes"
