Latest fashion

The latest fashion for the softball field, jeggins, sequined top, and a sequined hat. Oh don't forget the sneakers.

Visit

We had great visit with Mary and John over Christmas.  Janie, Scott, and Ryan joined us on Sunday and stayed until Wednesday.  We enjoyed being with them and getting to know Ryan.  They left on Wedneesday to head to Florida.  The kids and I, well just I, spent Wednesday taking down all of the Christmas decorations.  I was going to leave thm up until the New Year but we blew a fuse or something on Monday so the outlet the tree was plugged into did not work, neither did any of the surrounding lights.  Makes the tree kinda dull with out lights.

We took the kids bowling on Thursday.  Where are the pictures you wonder.  I would have had to remember my new phone for that to happen.  Anyway, the kids had a blast!  They wanted to bowl with out bumpers but we convinced them to use them  Thank goodness because somehow they missed all 10 pins at times with the bumpers in!

It has been nice and quiet around our house. The kids have been spending their days in their pj's, well Walker has. Since it was so cold out the kids have been spending their days on the Wii and listening to thier ipods.

Gingerbread House decorating

Let the fun begin! Today was the annual gingerbread house decorating. Mary jumped into the action and had a great time with the kids. I let them have their fun and got my Christmas cards done. Jay and John were partaking in the Christmas shopping club. Don't worry there wasn't any actual shopping done. They had started at 8am at the club for breakfast. From there they went to Andretti's to drive race cars. I don't know about you but nothing says Christmas like driving a race car. On the way home they stopped for a cocktail. A great day of "shopping". Tomorrow there is more fun to be had! Only 2 days and a wake up till Christmas (To quote the woman ringing the Salvation Army bell outside of Walmart)!

Moving Day

Yesterday was the shifting of the bedrooms.  After Quinn's basketball game, which they won 20-19, we finally had the opportunity to move all of the furniture that was in our garage.  No one had basketball or baseball and school is over until the new year.  So Walker now has our bedroom set, Quinn has Walker's bed and Jay and I have a lovely new bed with 2 dressers and a new mattress.  It took all day to shift all of the furniture.  I finished cleaning up Walker's room today.  They all look much better!  I still cannot park in the garage.  It is filled with our old dining room set and kitchen table as well as toilets and sinks in preparation for our renovation.  Which will happen sometime in the spring or summer.

Walker playing basketball

Walker has joined the ranks of the basketball players. They won
yesterday and lost today. Today she scored a basket!

It's snowing in Dunwoody

The girls are amusing themselves while Quinn plays baseball by making
snowmen outside in the snow.

Walker's band concert

Walker had her first band concert tonight. It was wonderful,
especially if you like listening to 9-11 year olds playing instruments
that some them don't practice (like mine).
