Iguana on the window

Jay looked out the window this afternoon and there was an iguana hanging out by our bedroom window. Our window is about 15 feet off the ground. He was just hanging out on a Friday!

Swimming Dogs

It's Memorial Day and how do we celebrate it on the island...Jay goes to work and Michelle goes over to a friends house and swims in their pool. After we dropped Mary and John off at the ferry, the kids and I headed over to Ms. Diana's house across the pond from us. Ms. Diana daughter Heather (also known as Sargent Major Heather) works for Pond Bay, who according to my kids is "pretty and very nice". Luke gives her the OK too! Anyway, Heather, Diana, and I sat around and chatted while the kids played with the dogs in the pool. The kids had fun having with Maggie chasing the ball and Demi riding on the float. Thank you Ms.Diana and Ms. Heather!

Walker's First Communion

Walker had her first communion today at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She looked beautiful in her dress and veil. She ate the bread "it was hard and kinda hard to chew" and drank the wine "YUCK". We went to lunch at High Tide, spent the afternoon at Maho and had dinner at La Tapa. It was a wonderful day!

A Day on the Palma Bella

Starting the day on the phone, where else!

Mary and John are here visiting this weekend. We spent the day on the Palma Bella with Captain John. We started off the day by touring the north side of St. John. From there we went snorkeling at Waterlemon Cay, very beautiful. Next stop Tortola to check into customs. From Tortola we went to Sandy Spit, a small sandy island. After Sandy Spit we went to Foxy's for lunch on Jost Van Dyke. We ended the day on White Beach at the Soggy Dollar Bar. It was a GREAT day!!
When we turned onto our street there was a tree limb blocking the road. Jay, John, the truck driver and a variety of neighbors helped move it out of the road and onto the Pond Bay site.

Wagapalozza

The local Animal care center had a dog festival today, Wagapalozza. The kids decided to dress Rooise up in a devil costume (thanks Heather). They had contests but we did not enter. Roosie did very well. She stayed by our side and did not want anything to do with the other dogs. We have decided that she does not like crowds or strange people but she does like kids. She would let the kids pet her but when many of the adults tried she would turn her head! At the end of the contests they had Pyros of the Carribean perform. They are fire dancers. In the last picture the kids are right in front of the guy.

A Rockin' Mother's Day

The sunset on Saturday night from the bar at Zo Zo's where I went with some friends for a mothers day dinner. The view was awesome!!

We went to Maho today for Mother's day. Some adults let Quinn and Walker ride their rockin' teeter totter. The kids had a blast! They even picked up some man from Atlanta to ride it with them. We also went to church and I was greeted this morning with breakfast in bed. Jay is making dinner tonight. It does not get any better than that!

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there!

The gang at the beach

We hiked to Solomon Beach and found our spot for our Christmas card. Solomon is know as the nude beach. No adult would be nude with that many kids running around. One of the kids did decide to partake and took his suit off and ran around the beach! He is the one with the floaties on his arm.
