Our trip North

Susie and I left Georgia last Tuesday to head to Durham, NC to pick up the kids.  The kids had been at Dad's since the previous week. They had a blast there!  They went for ice cream, went to the movies, went bowling ("they got free pizza but you have to pay for the drinks"says Quinn)  and went to a water park.  Two totally exhausted kids left Durham for Newark NJ on Wednesday.  Thursday morning we went to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island then headed to Boston.  While in Boston the kids had a great time playing with Anna and Will, Matt and Jen's two kids.  We also hiked the freedom trail, went canoeing, went to Pizzeria Regina, my favorite pizza place, and swimming the the frog pond. We also had a blast just being with Laine and Mitch and Ashely and Andy.  That was my favorite part, just being with family!  Thursday we threw two tired kids in the back of the car and headed for Georgia.  We got in Friday night and Susie left on Saturday.

On our way we went through Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts on our way North.  On the way home we went through Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virgina, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia. As for the license plate game, we were 6 states short of all 50!  Tomorrow we will get Florida in!
