Vacation

We had a wonderful time in Ft. Myers, Thanks Susie and Uldis!  Our days were filled with mostly the pool. We went to all 4 pools at the complex over the course of the week.  What else did we do, played shuffle board, miniature golf 3 times, Quinn went to a Twins Spring Training Game.  We also had lots of bike time and down time.  We visited Sanibel for our usual day trip to the beach with ice cream after.  The most fun was the afternoon of sailing. Seeing the manatee and dolphins was my favorite!

Spring break

As you can probably tell we are on Spring Break in Ft.Myers Florida. So far the kids have done a lot of "volunteer work". Volunteer work meaning eating ice cream, going on dinghy rides in search of manatees, and going minature golfing. All of these volunteer efforts have been done with Uldis. The kids have been disappearing with him to volunteer.

Today I forced the kids to go to Sanibel and Bowmans beach. Of course they had fun looking for shells, playing in the waves and ending it with ice cream.

Tonight it is sliders for dinner and the basketball game, Go Dawgs!

Schedule

6 am wake up, play UNO, pick hibiscus, check contents of fridge
7:15am wake up everyone in condo
8:15 ride bikes to Dunkin donuts for breakfast
9:45 put on bathing suits and head to pool
11:30 return from pool and have lunch
12:00 go on dinghy ride looking for manatees (found them, saw lumpy),
take dinghy to bowditch beach
2:00. Get off at dinghy at pool 4 and play shuffleboard
2:20 swim in pool 4
2:25 run/ walk the half mile from pool 4 to condo
2:45 have moosetracks ice cream on lani
2:55 have whipped cream squirted in mouth
2:56 stop moving and watch movie

I want to know if it is time for bed yet or maybe time for a cocktail?!

Ft.Myers Beach '09

We had a blast in Ft.Myers! Good food, good company, good drinks, good weather. What else do you need! The kids had fun seeing everyone and cannot wait to see everyone again in June!

What the kids do while Mom is shopping

Susie, Jen and I went out shopping and for lunch this morning. Matt, Uldis, and Paw Paw were in charge of the 3 kids. One adult for each kid is a good ratio. They went for a dinghy ride and look who they found...a manatee named Lumpy.

Boating, Ft.Myers Style

We spent the morning boating on Aunt Suz and Uncle Uldis sailboat. The children spent most of their time in the cabin playing uno. The adults enjoyed thier time on the water. On the way home we say dolphins, bald eagles and manatee's. After our boating adventure we hit Target while the kids regrouped. Once we got back we all hit the pool. Now its time for a yummy dinner of fish, and tons of fresh veggies. Yum!
