Epic Boating Day

The Gang on the boatThe Baths of Virgin Gorda
Enjoying the Music!
Swimming in to Hayes's house

Yesterday we headed to Virgin Gorda with the Majette's, Beth and Adelaide, and Eric. It was a smooth beautiful ride out there. Once there we explored the rocks and baths, had lunch and played in the waves. On our way home we stopped by Norman Island, Salt Island, Peter Island, Cooper Island and the South Shore of St. John. We stopped by a friends house on the South shore for some exploring. On the way home, a beautiful sunset. Another wonderful day on the water. Dont you think its time we get our own boat!?

Brown Bay

We hiked to Brown Bay today. It was a relatively short hike that was somewhat hilly. The trail started out in East End. We hiked over the hill to the North side of the island to a beautiful, calm, quiet bay. The kids found tons of conch's. They made thier own conch village.

We are off to Virgin Gorda with the Majette's tomorrow. Should be fun!!

T Ball and Softball

Both Tball and softball started last week. After quite a lot of confusion both got started with a bang. Jay has been working with the American Legion to begin a tball program. They were already starting a softball program for 9-14 year olds but neither of our kids fell into that category. So Jay got on it! On the first day of tball practice there was at least 25 kids there playing. It was great to see! At softball on Wednesday, which now includes 8 year olds, there was about 18 kids. It was great to see all the kids out there having fun playing ball. So now I get to spend 3 days a week at the red ant infested ball park. It doesnt get any better than that!

Other than that this was our first full week back at school since mid March due to all of the breaks. Walker had a great time with the Pierce family from Dunwoody. It was great to see them. We had a 3 trees fall in our yard last week due to the storms in Dunwoody.

The trees are in the process of being removed. We had some trees fall in the fall. There cannot be many more trees left!

We are still on the hunt for a boat. Jay is going to look at some on St Thomas today. We might go on a hike when he gets back. Who knows, its Saturday!

Flag Football

Jay has been playing in a flag football league here on island. I have never mentioned it before because there was never much to say. They had never won a game and I had never seen them score a touchdown, until last night. The kids and I did not go to the game, it was too late, but they won! Jay came rolling in last night around 1 am and this is what he said "We won, I scored 2 touchdowns, and got kicked out of the game" It seems Jay got pissed and threw a ball and one of the other players. The other player had tackled him (its flag football, no tackling) and then made him fall into the fence and a concrete wall. Jay got half way up and chucked the ball at him and hit him in the stomach. Nice work Jay. At least they won their last game.

An old friend

On of Walker's friends from Dunwoody, Taylor, and her whole family are on St.John for Spring Break. We met them today at Maho and the girls fell right back into the swing of things. Walker is going to take part of a day off this week and spend some time with Taylor. It was great to see some old friends.
