A Funny

So we are sitting on the barge waiting to go to St.Thomas for a wedding. As we are sitting here we are watching this couple search through their car on land for 20 minutes looking for something. We figuired it was their keys but we could see the keys from where we were sitting in the car door so we figuired it was something else. Nope it was the keys. One of the barge employees went over and "found" them. We wondered how they got where they were since they were no where near the ferry loading area.

Gold Mine

On Sunday we were picking up the kids from Sunday School and as we drove past the dumpster I saw this bag outside of it. Jay had to stop at the gas station so I ran across the street to see what it was. I scored a whole bag of christmas decorations, lights, ribbons, gift tags and two floats! Sunday night, at a different dumpster I scored 2 plastic storage containers for school. I hit the dumpster jackpot on Sunday!

For those of you who might not know about this tradition...people put things outside of the dumpster that someone else might find use out of, like our old couches!

It's ours now

Jay picked up the boat today after tball. He spent the time during softball cleaning the garbage out of it. Jay and Quinn drove the boat back to Chocolate Hole. Walker and I met them there and went out for a ride. The boat is 26 feet long and almost as old as me! It does have shade and plenty of seating. It needs some cleaning up but overall looks ok.
Softball and tball went great again. Sorry but I do not have any pictures. I keep forgetting my camera. Hopefully next week!

Boat

We are now boat owners.  Jay is going to pick it up tomorrow. This ought to be interesting!

Grand Central

I came home from school on Thursday and who is at the house...the electrician, the cable guy, 3 roofers and our landlord.  It was crazy. Our landlord is currently wrapping the roof to put the roof tiles on.  We figuired it would take at least 2 years before it actually happened.  It is not done yet but it is progressing.

Wagapalooza and Music in the Moonlight

Last night was the Animal Care Centers Wagapalooza. It is a festival for dogs with a whole bunch of different contests the dogs can enter. We did not take Roosie with us, she did not enjoy it last year. Heather let Walker and Quinn enter her dog Oliver into the best tail contest. They came in 3rd! Both kids had their faces painted and ran around like all wild children do. Jay and I stood around and talked with our friends.

Music in the Moonlight was at Moongoose Junction. It was a bunch of local artists playing 4-5 songs each. There were tons of people there. The kids ran around like wild kids and Jay and I enjoyed the music. Next year we are going to get a babysitter.
