KATS Raffle Tickets

Walker is selling raffle tickets to raise money for KATS. If they draw your name in the raffle you win a 10 foot inflatable dinghy with motor and trailer. It has been funny listening to her solicit buyers for the tickets. She was talking to Mary today and asked her. From the way that Walker explained it to her Mary thought we were going to see the play Cats in Chicago and did she want a ticket. When she was talking to George she told him that the person with the most tickets wins prizes. She neglected to tell him about the boat. When she was talking to Matt she told him that if he bought a ticket and won the boat it would be her boat and "thank you very much for the boat". Quinn has even joined in on the fun, he bought 2 tickets for $10. Imagine a 6 year old parting with his money! If you see Walker you might want to run the other way, she is hitting everyone up!

KATS

Yesterday Walker started KATS. KATS-Kids and the Sea is "an educational program designed to develop the vital linkage between the Virgin Islandss greatest human resource-its youth- and its greatest natural resource-the sea." The children learn knot tying, how to row, ocean saftey, docking, anchoring, first aid. The program goes until Christmas. Walker really enjoyed her first week. Jay took her to Coral Bay where they have the program yesterday. He took Quinn with him and they played baseball in the field there. I got to spend some time in the house alone! I really enjoyed the peace and quiet.
