The dog decided to eat a cheerleading pom pom on Thursday night. We are still seeing it. Our carpet now has nice pink polka dots on it.

Bruce Benedict

Bruce Benedict who used to be an all star catcher for the Braves was at Murphey Candler giving hitting lessons to all of the boys on Saturday. His son Griffin, is a catcher in the Padres farm system.

Quinn's Cheesecake Factory dinner

Quinn had a great birthday!! Thanks to everyone!

Happy birthday Quinn

He is 8! Bagels for breakfast, donuts at baseball practice, a friends
birthday party and cheesecake factory for dinner! It doesn't get any
better than that!

Tree

A few weeks ago our neighbors tree branch fell. Today they are having
the whole thing taken down. 8 of us are sitting out in front of the
Kester's watching the tree come down. Quite entertaining!

Watermelons

We grew watermelons in the garden this year.  The first one was wonderful! We took that one to Boston and shared it with everyone there.  The second we picked too soon so it was white in the middle. The third was over ripe so it had turned orange inside and tasted awful. The fourth one, perfect again!  We still have 2 on the vine that we should be able to eat. The pumpkins have taken off. Hopefully there will be some orange ones by October. If not Walker says she will paint them.

Girls

The boys are at the ball game so Walker and I headed to steak n shake
for dinner, her choice. Next stop, Trader Joes and Goodwill.

He was the first one to get a Coke. They wait all summer long for this
coke.

Labor day at the pool

It is all about the coke toss. This year walker also found a marked
penny and won a free ice cream which she promptly shared with everyone.

We spent the day on Lake Lanier with the Gray family.

The tree that fell

It was actually a tree branch but it made for lots of excitement on a
Saturday night. Our neighbors lost power but no one was hurt and
nothing was damaged.
