Preparing for the maiden meal

We still are not finished with the house but parts are usable(not many parts). We are having our first meal at the bar. Jay has spent the past 2 hours putting together the bar stools. We did get to use our new microwave drawer!

Quinn's birthday - same yet different

Quinn had a great birthday, yet a different birthday.  Normally we sing at the table, go out to dinner, have cake etc..  This year we sang happy birthday in our bedroom.  Dinner, was at Waffle House where Quinn poured chocolate milk down his shirt.  We did have a great time at the Braves game, even though the Braves lost. The ice cream place closed before he could get ice cream. He did get to run the bases, which was the highlight of the day.  Oh I almost forgot, He got on the jumbo tron with his "It's my ninth birthday" sign.

War wound

In Walker's softball game last night she got hit with the ball, twice. The one on her thigh left a nice bruise. You can even see the seam from the ball on her thigh. They won 9-8.

Peeping contractor

Our contractor was watching the floors guys stain the floor yesterday. It looks awesome!! The unfortunate part is that we had to leave the house at 9am today and not go home until about 6. We do not have enough baseball and softball scheduled to fill that void. So we headed to the pool. Yes the water is freezing.

Let there be laundry!

The Washer and dryer are hooked up and running. It will probably take a week to catch up on the laundry, it hasn't been done for 3 weeks.

Can I get a do over?

The weekend that is!  Don't get me wrong, we had a great weekend  it was filled with crazy things happening and zero events at the ball field!. We could not do much in the house due to the renovations.  First we headed to the Decatur Book Festival. I wont go into the details but we were there for less than 45 minutes and my day was ruined.  Then we headed to a friends lake house for the day.  While we were there Walker, who was on the jet ski with Jay, got bopped in the nose.  The result, a bloody nose and a very sore tip of her nose.  Sunday we headed to another friends lake house. We stopped at Costco on the way to get some food. While there Jay and I noticed the chip in Quinn's front tooth.  Turns out he did it on Saturday on the boat.  Monday was a rainy day which makes for lots of fun in a house that cannot be used unless everyone wants to hang out in the same room.  We spent it shopping for lights, fans, and other misc items for the house.

Broken

Quinn's first broken window.  Thank goodness it is in the garage and not one of the new ones.  He wasn't throwing the dirt at the house, he was throwing it over the house!
